Des Moines University is located on a 22-acre campus in the heart of Des Moines, Iowa. Just west of downtown on Grand Avenue, the University is located in one of Des Moines' most prestigious neighborhoods. The campus is in a historic neighborhood filled with tree-lined streets and gracious older homes and businesses. Its central location makes it easy to access the rest of the city and outlying communities. The campus is close to the Des Moines International Airport, located on the bus line and just blocks from local shopping and restaurants.

FROM THE NORTH

Traveling south on Interstate 35, take Interstate 235 west through Des Moines. Take the 31st Street exit. Turn left (south) on 31st Street. Turn right (west) on Grand Avenue, the University will be on your left (3200 Grand Avenue). 

FROM THE SOUTH

Traveling north on Interstate 35, take Interstate 235 east through Des Moines. Take the 31st Street exit. Turn right (south) onto 31st Street to Grand Avenue. Turn right (west) on Grand Avenue, the University will be on your left (3200 Grand Avenue). 

FROM THE EAST

Traveling west on Interstate 80, take Interstate 235 west through Des Moines. Take the 31st Street exit. Turn left (south) on 31st Street. Turn right (west) on Grand Avenue, the University will be on your left (3200 Grand Avenue). 


FROM THE WEST

Traveling east on Interstate 80, take Interstate 235 east through Des Moines. Take the 31st Street exit. Turn right (south) onto 31st Street to Grand Avenue. Turn right (west) on Grand Avenue, the University will be on your left (3200 Grand Avenue).
