  • DMU is the second oldest osteopathic school in the country.
  • Total enrollment of 1,700 — DMU is the largest medical school in Iowa with approximately 841 students in the osteopathic college. It’s large enough to offer every educational amenity but small enough to focus on excellence.
  • DMU is a state-of-the-art campus. All students in clinical programs receive a laptop and handheld computer and the campus has wireless internet access
  • The very first medical class in 1898 included both sexes and today 54% of the DMU student body are women.
