Podiatry preview

by Andrea Cooley

If you’re interested in applying to medical school or pursuing a career in health care the best way to get a feel for a school or program is to visit the campus and ask a lot of questions. For the next 2 days, Des Moines University is hosting 8 undergraduate students for the 2nd annual Podiatry Preview.

Students applied from schools all over the country. We chose students from: University of the Incarnate Word, Pepperdine University, Simpson College, Penn State University, Brigham Young University, University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, College of William and Mary and Brown University.

They will  learn more about the Doctor of Podiatric Medicine program, tour the DMU Foot & Ankle Institute and meet current D.P.M. students.

Welcome! We hope you love campus as much as we do. Let us know if we can help with anything.

Andrea Cooley gets paid to post on Facebook and Twitter (among other things) to promote Des Moines University to prospective students. She is a Midwest girl at heart, but loves to travel around the country visiting friends and family. If Des Moines had mountains or an ocean she’d never leave. Before joining the DMU marketing team, she was an editor for Country Home magazine. She’s still a little obsessed with magazines, so if you want to talk about decorating, remodeling or gardening projects she’s your go-to girl.

    Andrea,

Thank you for communicating this important activity for DMU-CPMS and for our guests who have taken the time to learn more about podiatric medicine and all of the programs at DMU. Dr. Yoho

Podiatry preview is one of the best initiatives taken by DMU that will behave as a platform of communication for the students. Students of different universities can interact with one another and express their views over different matters. Thanks DMU for the initiative.
