A message from the President of the Alumni Board
How long has it been since you graduated from Des Moines University? Have you stayed in touch with your classmates or faculty members who helped you with your journey to graduate? Did you lose touch and question how to reconnect? Have you ever wondered about today’s DMU students?
The DMU Alumni Association is over 12,000 members strong and is a network you can tap into and embrace. As graduates and friends, we are called to serve our University and assist in advancing its mission. I challenge you to consider becoming involved by becoming a mentor, volunteering for a Global Health trip or the Alumni Board, connect online, give back or attend one of the many alumni events like the annual Alumni Reunion.
For nearly one year, I have served as president of our Alumni Association. During this time, I have spent considerable time on campus getting to know faculty, staff, and most importantly, students in all of the programs. What a strong, energetic group of people who are committed and passionate! As you navigate through this website, look for opportunities to reconnect and give back.
My advice? Reconnect, get involved and stay connected – you’ll feel the world of good around you!
Marcia Grassman Hammers, B.H.A.’88
