Prospective students may visit Des Moines University to learn more about our programs and the requirements for admission. There are several ways to request a campus visit:
- Discover DMU open house
Several times per year the Admission office hosts our campus-wide open house event, Discover DMU. These open houses are the best way for a prospective applicant to visit campus and obtain the information necessary in preparation for applying to DMU. Visitors will have an opportunity to learn about our academic programs and tour some of our high-tech labs on campus. - Individual campus visits:
If you are a college student or graduate considering applying to one of DMU’s academic programs, you may benefit from an individual meeting with an admissions coordinator. Prior to requesting a visit, we encourage you to review the website to determine if your questions can be answered through our posted materials. We also welcome prospective students to email or call us directly for additional information. If you would like to request a visit to campus to meet with an admissions coordinator, please complete the request form below. You will be contacted by admission staff to schedule a visit. Individual campus visits may be scheduled Monday – Friday between 8:30 am – 4:00 pm. Visits will be suspended during our peak interview season between September – November. - Group visits:
Classes, clubs and other organizations wishing to visit campus as a group may submit a request below. Based on the availability of campus facilities and staff, we may be able to arrange for an admission presentation and tour of selected campus labs. Following receipt of the request form, you will be contacted by admission staff to discuss scheduling a visit. Group visits may be scheduled Monday – Friday between 8:30 am – 4:00 pm. Visits will be suspended during our peak interview season between September – November.
