During 2010, Student Learning Assessment Committee worked with all University faculty to establish common University (institutional) learning outcomes. These outcomes address the question: What are the values or skills demonstrated by all DMU graduates regardless of program? The outcomes identified were:

• Value the human experience with sensitivity to individual and cultural differences
• Demonstrate a knowledge of the science of human health and well being
• Manifest dedication to the highest standards of professionalism
• Display an ability to work collaboratively
• Demonstrate an understanding of research methodology and its relationship to critical thinking
